About the Class:
For many years the highest goal of Ballet Folklorico Netzahualcoyotl has been to research Mexican folklore and share with the world some of this country’s most prized gifts - its dances, customs and traditions. Netza's classes perform regularly around the Bay Area at ethnic dance festivals and schools. He teaches fun and inspiring classes for all ages.
About the Teacher:
Director Netzahualcoyotl Vidal was born in the city of Compostela, Nayarit, Mexico in 1972. He studied Mexican Folkloric dance at the Escuela de la Danza Mexicana with Jaime Buentello Bazán from the time he was a young boy on through his early adult life. For the past fifteen years, he has been an instructor and director of Mexican Folkloric Dance. He taught as a director at San Rafael High School in Marin County for three years and is presently a mentor at Youth in Arts. See this interview with him in a local paper.
